The Solution To Terrorism

You want to stop terrorists and terrorist attacks?

There is ONE answer that will solve the problem. As usual, it is an answer that the world’s governments do not want the citizens of the world to ever consider, for it would greatly diminish their power and control; whereas, the recent history of countries ‘under attack’ prove that the governments use these ‘attacks’ to strip away the rights of law-abiding citizens and to increase their power and control over the citizens.

At the beginning of the 20th century, much earlier actually, as a very basic starting point, all democratic, ‘free’ nations had laws in place for crimes committed by one ‘citizen’ against the rights and property and life of any other ‘citizen’. These laws included, theft, assault, battery, rape, extortion, kidnapping/abduction/imprisonment, manslaughter, and murder. For the most part, prior to the 20th century, a person was tried for their actions; while their motive might be introduced in the trial, in order to show why a person would commit the crime, especially if the case was built mostly on circumstantial evidence, the real focus was on the what and not the why of the case. However, as lawyers, along with most everyone else, wanted to be rich and famous, trials began to take on a sensational drama that shifted the courts from systems of justices to game rooms of power between the political wannabees and the salacious immoral actors that thought themselves above the law. This shift left the regular man without any protection or recourse under the law.

One of the results of this shift was the desire of politicians to ‘prove’ to their unprotected citizens, the desire of the government to protect them with the ‘invention’ of ‘extra crimes’. Now, crimes could be more glamorous, more sensational, more dramatic, creating more fame and fortune for the ‘officers of the court’ carrying out the power games. This also, reduced other crimes to being so mundane and ‘regular’ as to not warrant sufficient attention from those same ‘officers of the court’; why should it, what was their benefit for just a typical run of the mill crime. Who wins elections for doing their job honestly and fairly and to the best of their ability? No One! Who gets their face on TV for finding and prosecuting the ‘John’ that rapes and murders the prostitute? No One! Who gains richer clients if they properly insure that a guilty client is treated fairly and justly, but is still responsible and accountable for their crime? No One!

So now we have “hate” crimes and “terror” crimes and even hate and terror are crimes, when did emotions become crimes? Where is the common sense in this? When did crime become an act of love and grace, so that we now need to know when it was committed based on hate and terror? Why do we need to add ‘special dramatic words’ to crimes for them to matter?

The injury or loss of a life is still an injury or loss no matter why it was inflicted. The argument would be to give harsher sentences for those crimes committed as acts of ‘hate’ or ‘terror’. But that is not accurate, that is a lie by the politic to provide election slogans and TV sound bites. It is pure simple personal promotion.

One of the most common appeals of hate and terrorism to ‘new recruits’ is the sense of belonging and the sense of ‘being someone’. It is a way to ‘count’ to get to be ‘famous’. And the politic of the justice system created this appeal with their own self-desire to have the same thing as these ‘criminals’ they so publicly decry.

Everyone wants to be someone, that is nothing new; however, what is new is who the media and by default the public thinks is someone. Being someone is no longer about doing right or good in the world or making the world a better place or serving your fellow man with honor and integrity; it is all about being famous and getting rich. We have totally lost the original meaning of both words; famous is more commonly renown or notorious, which are not positives and rich, being only a material construct.

Thus, it was the introduction of the words ‘hate’ and ‘terror’ into the justice system that created the dramatic increase in these types of crimes and it is their removal that can initiate the greatest decrease in the committing of these crimes as well. How? You may ask.

If a person harms another solely out of hate, prosecute them solely for their acts. Do not give them a stage for their glory! Do not give them a pulpit for their dogma! Do not give them catchy ‘titles’ that immortalize them! Do not use their name in your sound bites so they gain fame! The Judge already with the simple laws has the means by which to mete out the full sentence for their conviction.

If a person harms another solely for terrorism, prosecute them solely for the real crimes they committed. Do not name them part of a group and give them or their ‘group’ status! Do not name their cause, thus giving it credit! Do not use the word terrorism so they gain power! Do not identify their religion or ethnicity to draw ‘special’ attention! Again the Judge already has the means by which to mete out full sentence for their crimes and that is what should be meted out; nothing more and nothing less!

When you stop using the words ‘hate’ and ‘terrorism’ the ‘thrill’ and ‘fame’ and appeal of the ‘group’ will greatly diminish. In today’s world, very few are going to just anonymously sacrifice their lives for a cause that will get them nothing in the end!

I Feel Your Pain Starbucks

Starbucks Holiday Cup 2015There is absolutely NO limit to the hatred of Political Correctness!

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is suggesting a boycott over the new red cups from Starbucks. Why? Cause they do not say Merry Christmas!
Welcome to the world of PC hate. Political correctness is the creation of hate on a global scale.
It has been the death of manners; the destruction of kindness and the termination of politeness!
Everyone has to be offended.
And everyone is offended by the wrong things.

We are not offended by the violence in the world. We are not offended by the corruption in the world. We are not offended by the greed of leaders and corporate CEOs and shareholders. We are not offended by the criminal actions of our government. We are not offended by the destruction of the planet. We are not offended by poverty. We are not offended by famine.

Oh, NO!
We are offended cause someone wished us a Merry Christmas! We are offended cause someone held the door open for us! We are offended cause the school is letting the children show off their talents and skills and do something fun! We are offended cause someone wore a shirt! We are offended cause someone displayed a cross! We are offended cause someone wore a hijab! We are offended cause someone said God Bless You! We are offended cause a business refused to do business with us! We are offended cause someone speaks a different language! We are offended cause someone has a different skin color! We are offended cause someone isn’t gay! We are offended cause someone isn’t transgender!

If you only look at all the things that offend us, you will see what really offends us is MANNERS!
We seem to have developed this overwhelming desire to HATE!

Offended define

Read that definition again….typically as a result of a PERCEIVED insult! It means that the one that is offended is usually the one that is wrong!

We are so full of hate as a society that we look for hate in everyone and everything! We look at the world not through the proverbial rose colored glasses, but with broken glasses that distort the reality of the world. We cannot even find good in the most innocent of actions and that disappointment starts at home.

When someone we meet on the street says hi, we pause, we back away or step aside and wonder what they really want. When someone at works asks how’s it going or how are you, we instantly go on the defense looking for the gimmick. And that started at home with you telling your parents as a child, I love you and they replied with what do you want! Thus teaching you that nothing good is real or free or comes without great cost. That there is no such thing as sincerity or honesty or giving.

That simple retort, begins the negative path to hate. How sad we so willingly teach our babies that we do not see their love as honest or a treasure or a gift; that we do not trust their sincerity or intentions even from birth.

And the reality and truth of the matter is — they were not born like that, YOU taught them that from your own actions with them and in front of them! SHAME ON YOU!!!

P.S. For anyone that I have not offended yet, HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS THE MOST BASIC RIGHT IN A DEVELOPED WORLD

There are a lot of skeptics out there that are saying Freedom of Speech is being too simple in the Charlie Hebdo attacks…..I disagree!

BF-Freedom Of SpeechFreedom of Speech is the basis of the story! There are people that say Freedom of Speech does not give you the right to insult people or say things of ‘hate’! I say, who decides what is insulting or hateful? Censorship by ANY outside force is destructive and NEVER the enlightened or intelligent or real way to handle discourse that is uncomfortable.
If you think it is black and white to determine what can be said and what can’t be said…..If you think that insulting and hateful are easily defined terms that ‘any fool should know‘ by your own arrogance you have violated your own black and white rule!!!

EVERY PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING THAT THEY WANT! NO ONE HAS THE ‘HIGHER RIGHT’ TO TAKE THAT RIGHT AWAY FROM ANYONE!

We have seen these hashtag wars in social media about ‘black lives matter’, ‘blue lives matter’, ‘je suis charlie’ ….. every group wants their group to matter more, but you are missing the HUGE picture!!!
We are all people…we all matter!

Coercion is not conversion!!! (Anyone know whom spoke that truth???)

And it is true….you cannot force a person to feel or believe or want or think something ….. and forcing them to be silent for fear of violence against them is not being civilized or responsible or multi-cultural…..that is being immature and ignorant and hateful and rude and a bully!!!!

1395569779536050926We have become a world filled with over grown toddlers in constant temper-tantrum mode cause the whole world isn’t meeting all our demands instantly!!! GROW UP!!!
If you do not like how a country exists…then do not go to that country….there are plenty of countries in the world that function from absolutely NO freedoms to having immense freedom and everything in between….you do not want freedom then move to a country that does not allow freedom. It really isn’t that hard to figure out!

If you do not like what someone says then do not listen to them. If you do not like what someone writes then do not read their work. If you do not like the art that someone creates then do not purchase it. If you do not like what is being said or shown on TV then change the channel or better yet turn it off. In general, in the world you are not forced to listen to what someone says so why think you have the right to force them to speak only what you want to hear?
What makes you more valuable than the other person?
What makes your life matter more than mine?
What makes your feelings more significant than a stranger?
What makes your thoughts more right than the hater?
What makes your opinions better than the poor man’s?
What makes you anything that elevates you above anyone else?

NOTHING!!!! You are not better than anyone else, so stop trying to pretend you are cause you are missing something inside that no amount of will bending in others will fulfill.

Yes, most of us are broken as humans! We see everything that someone says or does as some attack on us and we get mad and upset. We have no real faith in anything that keeps up grounded or humane. We see others only in what have they, what they are or what might they do for me; or I better get them before they get me. We have lost our sense of connection. There is nothing more lonely than feeling alone surrounded by a million people……except for when those million people are your ‘friends and family’.
Why do we feel so alone? Cause we have lost the connection. We no longer value lasting relationships. We no longer value the character of an individual. When we ‘judge’ someone we do not ask about their honor or heart or mind…..we ask about their income, their ‘schooling’, their house, their car, their things.
But a million dollars does not buy kindness. A Ph.D. does not ensure understanding. A mansion isn’t built with compassion. A Ferrari does not purr mercy. And things do not provide love!!

BeFunky_saudi-blogger.jpgIf you want less hate and more understanding…then stop forcing others to do what you want and start listening to them with understanding and compassion. If you want people to stop insulting and hating then speak with kindness and intelligence. If you want less violence and pain then show more mercy and patience.

It isn’t Freedom of Speech that is broken….it is the people speaking and no law can force morals, compassion, understanding or intelligence into them. And NO ONE deserves to die for words!!!

Al Jezeera Journalists held in Egypt

The example of people that have been jailed, punished, tortured, and killed for exercising their basic right of Free Speech can go on and on….
how does this make us civilized that we are so barbaric that we are afraid of words!!!!

We must protect EVERYONE’S right to speak without fear of violence or criminal action!
